The Honourable chief minister of tamil Nadu, Thiru M.K. Stalin, today inaugurated the expansion of the Chief Minister’s Food Scheme for sanitation workers, reaffirming the state government’s strong commitment to the welfare and dignity of cleanliness workers who play a vital role in maintaining public health and hygiene.

Ensuring Nutritional Support for Frontline Workers

Under the expanded scheme, sanitation workers will receive nutritious and hygienic meals to support their health and well-being. The initiative recognizes the physically demanding nature of sanitation work and aims to ensure that workers are provided with proper food during their working hours.

Speaking at the launch event, the chief minister stated that sanitation workers are the backbone of urban and rural cleanliness systems.
