A 31-year-old lady claims her husband and in-laws have beaten her, denied her food for days, and crushed her father's ribs. She has also claimed that after making a complaint, the police took no action. After the victim exposed her trauma to the public, a new complaint was filed with the kochi Deputy Commissioner of police (DCP) on Thursday.

Jipson, a 31-year-old technician who works at a business in Thiruvananthapuram, allegedly phoned the Assistant Vicar of st Joseph Church at Thevara to influence her, according to the victim. On one of the heinous evenings, the victim said she was refused food and threatened with penalties when she called the cops. She said that when she refused to sell the riches from her marriage, she was tortured and starved by her husband's relatives. When her father challenged them, he was assaulted and his leg and ribs were broken.

The victim, who works as a teacher, married Jipson in April. The harassment and misconduct began soon after her marriage, with verbal abuse progressing to violent torture. After three days of their marriage was pressured to sell off her gold and for buying an apartment. Later he started threatening and beating her up too. His relatives denied her food for a whole day two weeks ago. When her father went to see her daughter's husband last Saturday, he was assaulted and suffered serious injuries.
