In their native hamlet of Bhairusari in the Hanumangarh district, Roma, Manju, Anshu, Ritu, and suman were primarily homeschooled. Their father couldn't afford to send them to a high school that was too far away from their home. The sisters are the second pair of siblings to score in the top 100 in the rajasthan Administrative service (RAS) test. As a matter of fact the girls father Sahadev Saharan who is a farmer was a school dropout and their mother lakshmi has never been schooled.

Anshu, Ritu, and suman Saharan placed 31st, 96th, and 98th in the very tough test, respectively among more than the selected 2000 candidates. Manju works in the cooperative section of the RAS associated services, while roma is a block development officer. Before attempting the civil service, the sisters took their board examinations from open school and studied privately for graduation to Ph.D. levels.

The Saharan sisters are not only role models for the hamlet, but also achievers who have shown the road to everyone in the village who is afraid to dream. Their lone sibling, who is also the family's youngest, recently graduated from NIT hamirpur and is currently preparing for the civil services.
