The relations between pakistan and afghanistan (Pakistan-Afghanistan Clash) have declined sharply this month. Due to frequent terrorist attacks along the border with pakistan, the confrontation between the ruling Taliban in afghanistan and the government of pakistan is increasing. Last week, at least one person was killed and dozens of civilians were injured in shelling from afghanistan on the Chaman border. The Chaman border is about 100 kilometers from Quetta, the capital of Pakistan's balochistan province. Earlier on december 11, seven civilians were killed in shelling from afghanistan in the same area.

Pakistan's Defense minister Khawaja Asif has claimed that Pakistani forces retaliated to the incidents of shelling in which eight to nine Afghan soldiers were killed. But afghanistan has not confirmed this. Angered by these incidents, prime minister of pakistan Shehbaz Sharif said in a statement last weekend – "Afghanistan's interim government" should ensure that such incidents do not happen again.

According to Pakistan's security experts, Pakistan's efforts so far have been to somehow keep the tension under control. According to him, due to the increasing political and economic crisis inside the country, the government of pakistan does not want the controversy to flare up.

According to media reports, the dispute started over the involvement of Pakistani soldiers in the repair work on the border. Taliban troops began targeting civilian areas. Fakhar Kakakhel, an expert on extremism in pakistan, has said that incidents of targeting civilians show that the Taliban have not yet come out of their jihadist mindset. They have not been able to transform themselves into an organized and disciplined security force.

A source close to the Taliban leadership told the website nikkaiasia.com that it was not fair to expect Taliban fighters to "solve the issue through dialogue" given the way they have spent their lives fighting. That source said- 'The Taliban now want to be treated at the level of equality. pakistan should not consider him as its slave. Such an approach by pakistan enrages Taliban fighters and their violent reaction comes to the fore.

While Pakistani officials say that the Taliban regime in Kabul is not paying attention to Pakistan's security concerns. The attack on the Pakistani embassy in Kabul is an example of this. He said that to protect its diplomats based in Kabul, pakistan had requested the Taliban to give visas to 40 security personnel. But the Taliban gave visas to only ten security personnel.

A major bone of contention between pakistan and afghanistan is the terrorist organization Tehreek-e-Taliban pakistan (TTP), which recently broke off talks with the Shehbaz Sharif government and announced attacks across Pakistan. Pakistani officials allege that the Taliban is using the TTP to pressure pakistan to extract more and more concessions from it.
