School education minister Anbil Mahesh Poiyamozhi today held discussions on the preparations for the opening of schools from 1st to 8th standard. A consultative meeting was held with all the district principal education officers and a report was submitted to the CM.

CM stalin yesterday announced that classes for students from 1st to 8th standard in all categories of schools will be started from november 1 following the standard guidelines of Corona in the interest of the students. The school education Department is planning the steps required to open schools. minister Anbil Mahesh then held a language discussion with all the district principal education officers through video conferencing.

It discussed various information on the safety arrangements, teaching methods, practical problems in direct class, how to deal with them and how to make students sit in class when all students are invited to the school in which the meeting lasted more than an hour.

The meeting was attended by several top officials including the commissioner of school education, Principal Secretary and director of Elementary Education. It has also been reported that discussions have also been taken on whether to start classes on a rotational basis and the matter was discussed due to lack of space and risk of Infection. It is expected that after this consultation, standard guidelines on the opening of schools for class I to VIII students will be released soon.
