
Perseverance met triumph as shakti Dubey from Prayagraj emerged as the topper of the prestigious UPSC Civil services Examination 2024. Achieving this remarkable feat in his fifth attempt, Dubey’s journey stands as a powerful testament to dedication, resilience, and unwavering focus.
Hailing from the historic city of Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, Dubey had been pursuing his dream of joining the indian Administrative service (IAS) with unwavering determination since 2019. With each attempt, he inched closer to his goal, learning from every setback and refining his strategy year after year.
Speaking to reporters shortly after the results were declared, an elated Dubey said, “This has been a long and emotionally taxing journey. I’ve seen failures, self-doubt, and moments of complete exhaustion. But I always believed that hard work pays off. Topping the exam feels surreal.”
A graduate in Political Science from delhi University, Dubey chose the same subject as his optional paper for the UPSC examination. Over the years, he balanced rigorous preparation with periods of reflection and mentorship from fellow aspirants and seniors in the field.
Family and friends gathered at his Prayagraj residence to celebrate the long-awaited success. His parents, visibly emotional, credited their son’s unwavering discipline and faith in himself. “He never gave up, even when things didn’t go his way. Today, our prayers have been answered,” said his mother.
Shakti Dubey now looks forward to serving the nation as a civil servant and aims to work in areas of education and rural development. “India has enormous potential, especially in its villages. I want to contribute to making governance more inclusive and accessible,” he said.
With his inspiring journey, Dubey joins the league of aspirants who remind the nation that dreams do come true — with patience, hard work, and the courage to keep trying.
