🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

✔️ Passed 10th standard (Matriculation) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognised board.
✔️ Must hold a National Trade Certificate (NTC) or ITI in the relevant trade issued by NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training).
📌 SCVT/other certificates will not be accepted. Candidates awaiting results or final certificates are not eligible.

Age Limit

🧑‍🎓 15 to 24 years as on 01.03.2026.
👉 Age relaxation applies as per government rules:

  • OBC: +3 years
  • SC/ST: +5 years
  • PwBD: +10 years

📅 Important Dates

  • 🗓️ Notification Released: 28 february 2026
  • 📮 Last Date to Apply (Offline): 01 april 2026 (before 17:00 hrs)
  • 📢 Merit List Display: Around 45 days after closing date
  • 🛠️ Training Starts: Approx. 15 days after merit list publication

🧑‍💼 Stipend Details

During the apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act:

  • ✔️ 12,261/month for trades like Fitter, Machinist, Mechanic (MV), Turner, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic
  • ✔️ 10,899/month for CNC Programming cum‑Operator

📝 Selection Process

Selection is based on a merit list prepared using marks obtained in:
✔️ Matric (10th) exam
✔️ ITI (NCVT) certificate

In the event of a tie, preference is given to the older candidate or the one who passed 10th earlier.

Candidates must apply offline only. Follow these steps:

Download the application Form (Annexure‑A) from the RWF official website: rwf.indianrailways.gov.in.

Fill the form in your own handwriting using capital letters.

Attach self‑attested copies of:

10th mark sheet

ITI/NCT certificate

Caste/Disability certificate (if applicable)

Proof of age

Two passport‑size photographs

Enclose the application fee (IPO/Demand Draft) if applicable.

Seal the envelope and write:
“Application for Act Apprentice in _____ Trade”

Send by Registered Post / Speed Post or deposit in the drop box at the Personnel Department, RWF, Yelahanka, Bengaluru — before 01 april 2026 (17:00 hrs).
