The 2024 BAFTA Film Awards held at the Royal festival Hall in london witnessed christopher Nolan's film 'Oppenheimer' sweeping the majority of awards, securing seven wins out of its 13 nominations. The acclaimed film, delving into the backdrop of a nuclear explosion, received accolades for Best Director, Best Actor, and the prestigious Best Film Award.

 Christopher Nolan expressed his gratitude, thanking Universal Studios for recognizing the film's potential in the darkness. Another noteworthy success at the BAFTAs was 'Poor Things,' which secured five wins, including Emma Stone's award for lead actress. Davin Joy Randolph, starring in 'The Holdovers,' continued her dominance in the supporting actress category, expressing heartfelt thanks to co-star Paul Giamatti.


Director Jonathan Glazer's Holocaust drama, "The Zone of Interest," received the award for Best british Film. Despite its critical acclaim, Martin Scorsese's 'Killers of the Flower Moon' went without winning any awards at the ceremony. The BAFTA event was attended by notable personalities like Michael J. Fox and prince William, who presented tom Cruise with the Best Picture category via video link.


 Deepika Padukone, the only bollywood star at the prestigious event, donned a saree for the occasion and presented at the BAFTA 2024 ceremony.
