Why do children ask so many questions?

Questioning plays an important role in the cognitive development of children. parents who patiently answer their children's questions are the ones who help their children develop their knowledge. Boundless learning occurs within them by properly stimulating their questioning ability. As parents, we set some definitions of what children should and should not be asked. But children try to understand this world only through questions.

Children are full of questions throughout their lives, a 4-year-old child will ask about 300 questions a day and a 2-year-old to a 5-year-old will ask about 4000 questions. But studies show that children over the age of 5 stop asking questions altogether. This is because school and home are everything. Psychologists say that this is because of the habit of blunting the question rather than encouraging it.

Why encourage a child to ask questions?

Here are the benefits of encouraging your child to ask more questions.

As children ask questions, their brain develops through skills such as comprehension, cognitive knowledge, and language learning.

When children learn a subject they will question if there is confusion or inconsistency in it. They keep asking questions until they are clear, and they develop a deeper understanding of what they are asking and what they have learned.

Children get some sort of satisfaction when they clarify their doubts and develop the idea that they need to be fully aware of all the things they are learning.

We can understand the mood of children based on the questions asked. Observe whether they arose out of curiosity, fear, complex questions, or nostalgia and guide them accordingly.

Children will come forward to share their problems with the mother and father who answer their questions clearly and patiently. They will openly complain about it. This creates a healthy bond between children and parents.

When the question is answered the child's thinking moves towards the next stages, which improves their thinking ability. Encouraging them by giving the right answers - helps the kids to find simple solutions to problems and they will act with confidence.
