This year's Tourism Day is being celebrated in puducherry with greater zeal than ever before, with seminars, marathons, boat excursions, tourism, short films, and art and literature competitions. Later, under the chairmanship of collector Kavita Ramu, a special seminar on Tourism Day was held at Puducherry. Prof. S. Rajavelu of Alagappa University, Karaikudi, talked on the theme of 'Paleolithic Symbols,' and archaeologist A. Manikandan also spoke. Object display galleries, featuring clay dolls, were set up here. At the new bus stop, a Tourism Day balloon was also flown.

Earlier, district Revenue Officer PV Saravanan kicked off the marathon run with kids from the puducherry district Stadium. The marathon passed via the municipal office, the Anna statue, and the old bus station before returning to the stadium. Furthermore, the cycling rally was held by itself.

Not only that, but the pupils also enjoyed boat rides in the Muthukuda area near Michal. S. Raghupathi, the State Law Minister, began a visit of the puducherry Collectorate Wednesday, led by collector Kavita Ramu. In addition, a student film competition focusing on tourist attractions in the district has been announced. The first three rewards have been revealed at Rs.10,000, Rs.5,000, and Rs.3,000, respectively. It has been confirmed that the works for this project can be submitted by september 30th.

 Art and literature competitions have also been announced. Everyone is thrilled because the puducherry district, which has several archaeological sites in tamil Nadu and particular tourist attractions like the Chitthannavasal, celebrated Tourism Day in a big way.
