Atal Tunnel enters World Book of Records!
The name of India's most important strategically important Atal Tunnel Rohtang, prepared with state-of-the-art technology, has been certified by the World Book of Records. Director-General of Border Roads Organization (BRO) Lt Gen rajeev Choudhary received the award.
The Atal Tunnel has been officially acknowledged by the World Book of Records as the 'Longest Highway Tunnel at an Altitude of More Than 10,000 Feet. The World Book of Records UK is an organization that catalogs and verifies exceptional records around the world with recognized certification.
On october 3, 2020, the following will be inaugurated:

The strategically vital 9.02 km long Atal Tunnel passes through the 'Rohtang Pass,' which was built on the Manali-Leh route amid difficult conditions of freezing temperatures and severely rough terrain.
