They are also behind in education. Only 56.1% transgender people can read and write, which is much less than the national average. All this also affects their mind. Many transgender people remain depressed and think about suicide. Many times they even try, because they feel that no one will help them. All these problems show that despite the law, the change in their lives is slow.

This law of 2019 is very important for transgender people. Its purpose is to improve their lives and protect their rights. There are many important rules in this law. First, they cannot be discriminated against in schools, jobs, hospitals, and government services. For example, no school can refuse to admit them. Second, they can choose the gender of their choice. For this, they get an identity card from the district Magistrate, and no doctor's examination is required for this. Third, they should get the facility of gender change treatment and hiv testing.
