The preferences of television consumers have significantly changed. It is no longer realistic to presume that a film's success in theatres would translate into success on television. This has been shown several times in the past, most recently with the release of Sardar. Sardar, which starred karthi as the lead, received favourable reviews from moviegoers, especially in multiplexes and B-centers. The film, however, fell flat when it was broadcast as a world television debut, earning just 1.48 TRP.

Movies like Baahubali, Maharshi, and Son of Satyamurthy that are frequently telecast, however, garnered substantially greater ratings. There is a turn in this. This movie wasn't shown on The Zee Group's main channel, but it was experimented with on its Movies channel. Regrettably, this choice resulted in a sharp drop in ratings. Sardar might have performed better if it had been broadcast on the main channel. In this film, which presents an intriguing perspective on the life of a spy, karthi played a father-son team.

The film's primary heroine was Rashi Khanna, and Mithran served as the director. It should be noted that, the tamil version is yet to make its tv premiere and it might happen in the following weeks.
