Veera simha Reddy, a high-octane action film starring Nandamuri balakrishna, was released during the Sankranthi season amid much anticipation and did actually break box office records. The Gopichand Malineni-directed movie produced by Mythri cinema Producers was a financial success at the box office against stiff competition. This is undoubtedly turning out to be Balakrishna's highest-earning project.

The film has currently shown for 50 days in 23 direct theatres and for 54 days altogether, counting theatre changes.
