Malayalam movies have always been intelligently told stories. Here is an example of a movie that has gained social media attention since it began streaming on Netflix. Iratta, a movie starring Joju George and directed by Rohit Krishnan, is the topic at hand. The movie is likely to be remade in telugu with venkatesh in the lead role and trisha filling the shoes of Anjali.

Vinod's (Joju George) murder in a police station serves as the movie's opening scene. Three police officers with a troubled history with Vinod are now the main suspects after Vinod was shot three times. As if that weren't enough, Vinod's identical twin Pramod shows up and joins the team conducting the investigation. Who killed Vinod, and will his brother Pramod track down the killers, are the central questions in the Iratta narrative.

The main character, Joju George, is portrayed in a dual capacity. Joju makes sure he plays the two personas differently, despite the fact that there is no physical likeness. Joju George does a fantastic job of capturing the naive difference in character and the time jumps in the narrative. The best aspect of the movie is Joju's shift from Vinod to Pramod and his effortless handling of both characters. Particular note should be made of Jithu Ashraf, who played a pastor.

Iratta marks the directorial debut of writer/screenwriter Rohit Krishnan. The movie begins out as an investigative thriller before switching over. The writing is excellent, but the screenplay truly shines because it grips the viewers to their seats. The editing by manu Antony is excellent and doesn't drag on with unnecessary sequences. The dramatic setting devised and the cinematography used by Vijay are both excellent. Although Jakes Bijoy's music is good, his background score, which gives the narration fire, was more successful.
