The telugu remake "Red," starring ram pothineni, is a resounding failure even if the tamil version of the original is a smash box office success. Even with knowledge of the telugu outcome, hollywood has now adapted it as "Gumraah," starring aditya roy kapur as the lead actor and Mrunal Thakur of Sitaramam fame as the investigator who attempts to crack the case. Vardhan Ketkar, a debutante, directed the movie, similar to how many bollywood debutantes actually do remakes. The remake of Karthi's Khaidi, Bholaa, starring ajay Devgan, is scheduled for release on march 30.
