Karthi and Nagarjuna are joining hands for the first time to do a bi-lingual titled 'Oopiri'. The Tamil version is titled as 'Thozha'. Tamannaah essays female lead role and she pairs with Karthi for the third time after 'Paiyaa' and 'Siruthai'. Nagarjuna does role of a millionaire in the movie.
Prasad.V.Potluri produced the movie under PVP pictures banner. Vamsi Padipally directed the project. It is a remake of French movie 'The Intouchables'. Anushka Shetty and Nora Fotehi are doing cameo roles in this venture. The promotions have already started for the movie.
Nagarjun and Karthi have gave various interviews with respect to the movie. Now PVP cinemas has planned some unique promotions for the movie. They have decided to go by the latest trend and planned social media contests during release of the movie.
The whole team of 'Oopiri' will go around places and promote the movie on a large scale. The buzz surrounding the movie is already high. Karthi will be seen as a slum guy in this project.
