Prabhu Deva is an Indian Director, Dance choreographer, Actor and Producer. He has worked in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi language movies. He is in movie industry for more than 25 years and he has performed a variety of roles. He was the one who introduced 'Dance' as an integral factor in cinema.
• Prabhu Deva hails from Mysore, Karnataka. As his father was a choreographer he learned Bharatanatyam along with western contemporary forms.
• His personal life is mostly on downhill. He lost his eldest son in 2008 due to Cancer and his wife Ramlath filed divorce as he was in a relationship with Nayantara.
• Right now he lives aloof in Mumbai in his property called Green Acres. This was earlier owned by Boney Kapoor
• Prabhu Deva's mother lives in a farm house in a village called Doora near Mysore
• His first screen appearance came in 1988, where he was just a background dancer in the movie 'Agni Natchathiram'.
• He was the first dance choreographer who made 'Super Star' Rajini to dance. 'Raakamaa Kaiyya Thattu' song in 'Thalapathy' was choreographed by him.
• One of the most memorable performances came in IPL 2012 Opening ceremoney where he performed along with Bollywood biggies like Salman, Amitabh, Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor.
