Super star krishna was born to parents from farming background. In 1962, he entered film industry with 'Padandi Munduku' a political thriller. Next, he played small roles in Kulagotralu, Paruvu pratista also. Later he got introduced as hero in 'Tene manasulu' in 1965. He acted as solo actor in Kanne manasulu in 1966. Later he got booked as hero in many movies becoming actor who takes highest remuneration.
After few years, he established his own production house 'Padmalaya films'. He earned crores of rupees by giving super duper hits to film by Alluri Sita Rama Raju, Agni Pariksha, Mosagallaki Mosagadu. He acted in more that 350 movies where no other hero of his age could give so.
In Mosagallaki Mosagadu, he acted as cowboy in 1971. Till then Telugu people were unaware of cowboy. The movie shooting was done in banks of Sutlej, Pakisthan China borders, Bikaner fort, Rajasthan deserts. The crew arranged special train and reached this spots. That was a visual treat to Telugu people in those days. This unique actor will be remembered as long as Telugu film industry lasts.
