In the wake of the second wave of Corona many prominent figures from politics as well as the cinema industry are conveying their concerns about the pandemic through social media platforms. Vi anand, an indian architect turned filmmaker is the new one to voice his opinion on this matter.

He took to his twitter handle to voice his concern on the current Corona pandemic. The filmmaker wrote, "Even when aliens attack and thousands sacrifice their lives, three things will go on as per the schedule in India: elections, Religious gatherings and IPL."

His comment however didn't go down well with everyone on social media. While few supported him saying that "well said" and "correct", few ignoring the seriousness of the situation wrote "What's the problem with IPL."

Another user wrote, "I know it might sound really frivolous to support the IPL in the middle of a pandemic. But the truth is this..the IPL is keeping millions and millions of people in this country at home safe and sane every evening."

Coming to Vi anand he is known to speak his mind out at times when some serious situations break out from nowhere. His tweet on the current situation is now trending on social media.
