The highcourt has mandated all the theatres with hike of ticketprices in Telengana.
Movies are the biggest entertainment source in india and the same follows in Telengana. Tons and tons of new film release every year and we are crazy about the movies being released. Thus movie industry and it’s tax payers are one of the important revenue source for our government.
Being so, the theatres association approached the high court , asking for a hike in the movie ticket price and the high court responded in favour of them. The association initially made an appeal with state government which was ignored. Later, they approached highcourt and the verdict has turned in favour of them.
Ahead of Akhanda release, the Telengana high court heard the plea and accepted their request to hike price for the big budgeted movies. With this new development, there will be an increase of 50 rupees in ticket prices effective from today.
This is a big relief for producers of big budgeted movies like RRR, Radhe shyam and Pushpa as it will help them in getting back their investment. In andhra pradesh as well, this plea was made to state government but it was dismissed.
