Kartikeya Gummakonda has always coveted success, but it has proven elusive. He made every effort, yet he was unable to produce. He is hoping for a strong comeback after RX 100. Last but not least, he has partnered with rising director Clax for a recurring comedy centred around the Doomsday set in 2012. Will kartikeya succeed and put a stop to his string of flops? Here is the Bedurulanka 2012 review.

Siva (Kartikeya), who left his unfulfilling computer graphics career in the city, returns to home town of Bedurulanka and falls in love with Chitra (Neha Shetty), the president's daughter. Fear overtakes the peasants as word of Doomsday spreads like wildfire. Along with Brahmam (Srikanth Iyengar) and Daniel (Auto Ramprasad), Bhushanam alias (Ajay Ghosh) concocts a scheme to deceive people in the guise of religion and terror. Will apocalypse actually happen? How are Siva's affection for Chitra connected to these? These questions are addressed throughout the movie.

Based on Yugantham (Doomsday), author-director Clax is able to craft a compelling narrative in a made-up community. He is a first-time filmmaker who writes well but struggles to put his ideas into action. But there are a few murky spots in the movie where the director might do better. The songs by mani sharma are only passable and call for more from the seasoned performer. He does, though, show his grit in the retake. There should be more recognition for camera work. the editing is decent, too.
