Kannada actor cum producer shiva Rajkumar recently talked about his upcoming film Ghost, directed by M. G. Srinivas, during a promotion event in Mumbai. During the interview, he shared how challenging it was for his family to cope with the untimely passing of his younger brother, Puneeth Rajkumar, in 2021.
Reflecting on Puneeth’s death, shiva Rajkumar, the elder brother, said that it was incredibly tough for the family. “It was a hard time for our entire family as he was the youngest. Especially for me, he was like a little brother. There’s a 13-year age gap between us, so it’s painful at times. However, life must go on. We have to cherish his good memories and keep his spirit alive. I don’t want to limit my connection with him to just prayers at his memorial. I want to carry his essence with me always and share it with the world,” he shared.
Puneeth Rajkumar, the youngest son of famous kannada actor Dr. Rajkumar, was affectionately known as Appu. He tragically passed away at the age of 46 due to a heart attack. Shivarajkumar’s movie “Ghost” is set to release on october 20 in five languages: kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam. It will be in competition with Vijay’s film “Leo,” which premiered on october 19.
