Actor dhanush has signed up for his next film with telugu director sekhar Kammula. Tentatively titled D51, the film has been making headlines for a while now. As the fans await more updates around the film, dhanush starrer is all set to go on floors. Reports suggest that the movie is likely to go on the floor in february 2024. However, the official announcement regarding the shooting schedule is yet to be made.
Earlier in August, it was confirmed that rashmika mandanna has been roped in to play the female lead opposite dhanush in the film. The actress confirmed the news and shared a video on instagram with the caption, “Beginning of a new journey #D51.” The film will mark her first collaboration with dhanush, sekhar kammula and sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP.
This collaboration between dhanush and sekhar kammula will be shot and released simultaneously in three languages- telugu, tamil and Hindi. Kammula, who is known for his brilliant work, is believed to have written a unique subject for dhanush to present the actor in a never-before-seen character. Interestingly, the film will also mark the debut of dhanush in telugu showbiz. The preliminary work on the film is currently underway. The dhanush starrer is produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur ram mohan Rao under the banner of sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP in collaboration with amigos creations Pvt Ltd.
