Reportedly Rajinikanth made headlines earlier this week after he shared the first pictures from the sets of Thalaivar 170 with amitabh Bachchan. The tamil superstar and the legendary bollywood star are reuniting after 33 years for the film directed by T.J Gnanavel. The news of their reunion was confirmed by lyca productions a few weeks ago.
Sharing the photo, Rajinikanth wrote, “After 33 years, I am working again with my mentor, the phenomenon, Shri amitabh bachchan in the upcoming Lyca’s “Thalaivar 170″ directed by T.J Gnanavel. My heart is thumping with joy!” Apart from Rajinikanth and amitabh, Thalaivar 170 also stars Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, rana daggubati and Fahadh Faasil. The film began filming in kerala earlier this month.
While details about their roles in the film are kept under tight wraps, report in august suggested that Rajinikanth and amitabh will lock horns in the film. Reportedly, the Jailer actor will be playing the role of a cop in this movie. An insider claims Big B will be playing the antagonist in the movie. Therefore, the film will present Rajinikanth and amitabh bachchan clashing on-screen. However, it should also be noted that there is no official confirmation regarding this as of now.
