Actor abhishek bachchan recalls the beginning of his career in the hindi film industry and how he was 'spotted' by director JP Dutta at an awards ceremony after being rejected by several directors over two years. The actor revealed that he was not able to buy clothes during the struggling days, adding that he had reused his sister's wedding sherwani for the awards ceremony.

Abhishek Bachchan revealed those days when amitabh Bachchan's business had completely failed and during this time he started working as a production assistant and assistant director. abhishek said that he always wanted to be a film star and hence, he met many directors, but none of them wanted to take the responsibility of launching amitabh Bachchan's son.

Abhishek further revealed that he and his friend decided to write their script, but that too did not take off. One day, amitabh invited abhishek to attend the Filmfare Awards, from here his life changed. abhishek said, that 20 years ago you had to plan for months what to wear and in those days no one was giving free clothes. You had to buy them yourself. It was an opportunity, but then I thought, 'What should I wear?'

Abhishek further said, 'It sounds strange, but I did not have so many clothes. We couldn't buy new ones. We were going through a difficult time and were trying to reduce expenses as much as possible.

While choosing clothes for the function, abhishek said, I didn't think it would be wise to be seen in jeans and a T-shirt. So I wore the sherwani that was made for my sister's wedding a few years ago. abhishek said that JP Dutta had won the Best director award for Border that year and as he was walking down the stage, he saw abhishek and was surprised by his presence.
