Despite the ongoing success streak of many leading stars in the tamil film industry, Chiyan vikram has been struggling to deliver a hit. Currently working on the film "Thangalan," directed by Pa Ranjith, vikram aims to showcase his versatility once again. The movie's teaser generated significant buzz and increased anticipation, but vikram has faced challenges in securing a successful release.

While the promotional materials for "Thangalan" and the Vikram-Ranjith combo created substantial hype, the continuous postponement of the film's release has dampened the audience's interest. Originally slated for a december 2023 release around Kudaraka Sankranti, the film was rescheduled for Republic Day on january 26. However, the latest announcement indicates another delay, with the film now set to release in April, though the exact date has not been disclosed.

Vikram is expected to sport a distinctive look in "Thangalan," reminiscent of his character in "Shivaputrudu," and fans have high hopes that the film will bring the actor the success he seeks. Directed by Pa Ranjith, known for the widely acclaimed "Kabali," the movie features malavika mohanan opposite Vikram. As anticipation continues to build among Chiyan's fans, the repeated delays have heightened curiosity about the eventual reception of "Thangalan" and whether it will mark Vikram's return to a triumphant box office performance.
