Since its release earlier this month, the malayalam romantic comedy flick Premalu has been a box office sensation. The film, which had a small budget of Rs 3 crore, has become a big success with over Rs 72.07 crore in worldwide revenue thanks to the enormous acclaim of the public. Notably, it is now the eighth highest-grossing indian film of the year and holds the distinction of highest-grossing malayalam film of 2024. Additionally, the movie features a telugu dubbing, which has increased its public reach.

Telugu moviegoers are in for a treat as the telugu version of Premalu is slated to hit cinemas on march 8. S. S. Karthikeya, the son of well-known director S. S. Rajamouli, will oversee distribution for the film. According to reports, karthikeya has reportedly purchased the film's dubbing rights, a sign of the high hopes for Telugu-speaking fans' reaction to the movie.

While the theatrical run continues to be a huge success, rumours have begun to circulate about Premalu's OTT release. The producing company behind the movie, bhavana Studios, has, however, denied rumours that it is selling the OTT rights and stated that it plans to give priority to a broad theatrical release before taking wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital distribution into account.
