The daughter of legendary actress Lakshmi, aishwarya made her film debut in the 1989 telugu film Adavilo Abhimanyadu. She made her debut in tamil with Sivakumar starrer Niyaangal Jayikattum. Apart from tamil, She acted in many languages including telugu, Malayalam, Kannada.
She got married to Tanveer anand in 1994 and took a break from acting to take care of her family. However, Aishwarya's married life is not so good. His married life lasted only 2 years.
She got divorced from her husband in 1996. Later, She got addicted to drugs and did not get film opportunities. Then gradually recovered from it and re-entered the film industry.
She has been acting in many serials not only on the silver screen but also on the small screen and has openly spoken about many things in a recent interview.
Speaking in that interview, She said, "I used to call surya as Saravanan from my childhood till now. I have played mostly with Saravanan and Karthi. Sivakumar sir has taught me many things about cinema.” He said.

Aishwarya opened up about her love and said, "I have been in love with Prabhu since I was 16. She is still my darling. This matter is known only to his wife Punita. I was shocked to see Prabhu's performance in the 1986 film Balaivana Rojakal. Ever since then I had an overwhelming love for Prabhu.
The reason I agreed to act in Swayaamvaram was to act with Prabhu. Even when he was acting in the movie Ambala, I look him well. I have told him that Prabhu's small house is ready to go. He will be so beautiful in that period..” He has openly talked about many things.
It was aishwarya who continued to speak and also talked about Miss Panna films in Tamil. Roja was the biggest opportunity I got when I committed to acting in Telugu. I was the first to act in that film. Needless to say, I missed it because of my grandmother. Similarly Mani sir first approached me to play the role of Shobana in Thalapathy. But I missed that film too," She said.
