Shekhar Kapur wrote in his post, "More than 75% of the box office of hollywood films comes from outside the US and a large part of the budget of those films is spent outside the US. President Trump's imposition of a hundred percent tariff on all films imported into the US may give hollywood a chance to leave the US. Which will be exactly the opposite of their expectation and intention." Other countries are giving many incentives to drive our filmmakers and studios away from the US. hollywood and many other areas of America are being destroyed. This is a well-planned effort of the rest of the countries and therefore a threat to national security. Therefore, I am instructing the Department of Commerce and the united states Trade Representative to immediately begin the process of introducing a 100 percent tariff on all films that are made abroad and are coming to our country. We want films to be made in America again."
