Actress Ruchi Gujjar has filed an FIR at Mumbai's Oshiwara police station against the producer of the film "So Long Valley," karan Singh Chauhan, on charges of fraud, criminal breach of trust, and intimidation. The case is related to a financial dispute of Rs 24 lakh over the co-production of a hindi television serial. Ruchi alleges that between July 2023 and january 2024, she transferred this money in several installments from her company, SR event and Entertainment, to Karan's company K Studios and other accounts.
FIR lodged against karan Singh Chauhan
Police sources said that based on Ruchi's complaint, an FIR was registered against karan on July 24, 2025, under sections 318(4), 352, and 351(2) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) 2023. Ruchi has claimed that karan Singh Chauhan contacted her via whatsapp and introduced himself as the producer of a hindi serial and claimed to launch the show on sony TV.
Ruchi accused the producer of fraud
Ruchi further claimed that he offered to add her as a co-producer and also sent documents related to the project. Believing these things, Ruchi transferred money to their different bank accounts. Ruchi further told the police that no work had started on the project, despite repeated contact; he kept on postponing her, and he lied.
The actress said that the producer invested that money in a film named "So Long Valley" and said that he will return the money after the film is sold. When I got the information that the film is releasing on July 27, I asked him to return my money, upon which he started threatening me.
Police started investigating the case
Ruchi has mentioned the transaction details, account number, and financial loss in the FIR. Mumbai police has registered a case and started an investigation, and all banking transactions, call records, and other evidence are being investigated.
