Actor annu kapoor attended the closing ceremony of the Celebrating india Film festival (CIFF 2025) in delhi on Sunday. On this occasion, he talked about the importance of film festivals. He wants a city like delhi to have its film festival, which will promote cinema.
In a conversation with ANI, annu kapoor says, 'Film festivals have many benefits. Films are an important means of entertainment for our people. Those who organize such film festivals include films in it that people are not able to see in theaters. Those who have made meaningful films, but due to a low budget, have not been released properly. In such a situation, the platform of film festivals gives a chance to these films. Our youth also connect with them.'
Annu Kapoor further says, 'Now I think, a time will come when at least in delhi, South delhi and North West delhi will have their separate film festivals. This will be a very good thing because we know that cricket and cinema are important sources of entertainment in our country. Therefore, it is very important to pay more attention to them.'
Recently, Shah Rukh Khan has received the National Film Award for the film 'Jawaan'. annu kapoor is very happy with this. He says, 'I congratulate him. I wish him good health. When a capable person gets a National Award for his work, it is a very inspiring thing. I believe that if he does meaningful work, he can give a new direction to society.'
The closing ceremony of the Celebrating india Film Festival was held in the presence of delhi Chief minister Rekha Gupta. Three-time Grammy Award-winning musician Ricky Kej and director Bharat Bala's film 'Aham Bharatam: I am India' was screened during this festival.
