Demise and Hospitalisation


Renowned tamil filmmaker R D narayanamurthy passed away in chennai at the Omandurar government Hospital.


He was 59 years old at the time of his passing.


Narayanamurthy had been undergoing treatment for about a week, but unfortunately, did not recover.


He breathed his last on tuesday night.



Family and Personal Details


The late director is survived by his wife, Hamsaveni, and son Lokeswaran.


His son, who works in London, is expected to return to chennai to perform the final rites.



Funeral Arrangements


The final rites will be held on friday after his son arrives from London.


The mortal remains were shifted from the hospital to a private facility and will later be taken to his residence in Pammal, Kancheepuram district.

R D narayanamurthy was best known for directing the cult classic romantic comedy drama Manathai Thirudi Vittai (2001).
