A day after the allegations of a 100 Crore scam on minister Eatala rajender, he has been stripped off his health portfolio on Saturday. The governor has transferred the portfolio to chief minister K. chandrasekhar Rao with immediate effect. That means Eatala will continue as minister without portfolio or may have to quit. Let us see how this pans out in the coming days.

On the other side, the Revenue and Vigilance probes into the alleged grabbing of assigned lands in some villages in Masaipet Mandal in medak district. There were reports in some sections of the media that they found preliminary evidence against the minister in these allegations.

However, this move may become counterproductive for the state at the height of the pandemic. Eatala used to be very active in the media with frequent press conferences and media interactions. It is unlikely to be the case with the chief minister, who rarely comes before the media.

"Communication is going to be the key with Governments during a pandemic. Already there are allegations of underreporting in Telangana. From less information, we are likely to move towards no information in the coming days," people on social media proclaim.
