Ajith Kumar dominated the big screen in 2007 with his outstanding performance as Billa. The Vishnuvardhan-directed movie was a huge smash and is still a favourite of many of the actor's followers. Fans of ajith and moviegoers may now see the film on a huge screen once more. The movie Billa is getting a second release on May 1, 2024, ajith Kumar's birthday.
 
Industry tracker Ramesh bala stated on X that the movie Billa will reopen in tamil Nadu on more than 150 screens. Moreover, because May 1st is also the superstar's 53rd birthday, this re-release is bound to turn into a huge celebration for the actor's fan base.The official remake of the 1980 Rajinikanth film of the same name, which was itself a remake of the 1978 amitabh bachchan film Don, is Billa, starring ajith kumar in the lead role.
 
The main character of the movie is an international criminal and underworld don named David Billa who hides and operates out of Malaysia. Interpol plans to replace the underworld don, who is thought to be dead, with a lookalike named saravana Velu, who poses as the amnesiac don. The rest of the movie centres on Velu assisting the police while avoiding being exposed as a fraud.
