Property allegation:The return of cheetahs after 75 years!!!

There is an atmosphere of happiness across the country about the return of cheetahs to india after nearly 75 years. But, now a new screw seems to be stuck in it. The Palpur Rajgharana of Sheopur has approached the court for the return of their land from the Kuno National Park.

At present, the Kuno National Park of Chambal area is in discussion all over the country. prime minister Narendra Modi will launch Project Cheetah on the occasion of his birthday on september 17. Keep in mind that cheetahs became extinct in india 75 years ago.

Now a petition for contempt of the order of the gwalior high court has been filed in the Vijaypur Sessions court on behalf of the Palpur royal family in Sheopur. In this application, the royal family has demanded to return their land 'occupied' by the administration in the Kuno National Park. The court has fixed the date of hearing of this case on 19 September.

In fact, Gopal Dev Singh, the heir of the princely state of Palpur, has claimed that he had given his fort and land for the Kuno National Park to be built for lions. He said that when the lions of Gir came here, they had left their fort, temple and 260 bighas of land. He said that we had given our land because the forest would be safe because of the lions here. But, now cheetahs are coming here and big fields are being made for cheetahs by cutting trees.

Kunwar Gopal Dev Singh said that now the royal family wants their property back. For this we have filed a petition in the sessions court.

In fact, the descendants of Palpur princely state, Shivraj Kunwar, Pushpraj Singh, Krishnaraj Singh, Vikramraj Singh, Chandraprabha Singh, Vijayakumari etc. had filed a petition in the gwalior high court in the year 2010 against the acquisition of their land taken for the Kuno National Park in the gwalior High Court. At that time, while expressing satisfaction on his petition, the high court had said that you do not directly come to the high court, first go to the Sessions Court.

In 2013, the high court had directed the Sheopur collector to take the matter to the Vijaypur Sessions court, but the Sheopur collector kept postponing the matter since 2013. The descendants of the princely state of Palpur started contempt proceedings against the Sheopur collector in the high court in 2019. Then the matter was sent to the Vijaypur Sessions court in a hurry. The princely state alleges that the collector had given wrong information to the court. Now the descendants of the princely state have gone to the sessions court against this contempt of the High Court. Now the matter will be heard on 19th.
