India is going to preside over the G-20 conference. For the G-20 conference, india has included the lotus flower along with the earth among its people. The G-20 emblem, theme and website were unveiled by prime minister Narendra Modi earlier this week. A section of opposition leaders is raising questions about this logo. The opposition says that india itself is being saffronized. Defense minister rajnath singh has presented his clarification regarding the allegations of the opposition and reprimanded the critics.

Defense minister rajnath singh said, 'Controversies are created over symbols related to our heritage. There is a ruckus over the unveiling of a logo. The G20, which accounts for about 85 per cent of the global GDP, has a lotus in its logo. Some people created a storm over the use of the symbol. people are saying that it is the symbol of Bharatiya Janata Party.

Rajnath Singh said, 'The truth is that in 1950, the government of india declared the lotus flower as the national flower. The lotus flower is connected to India's cultural identity.
