In light of Cyclone Mocha, the indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning that rains in andhra pradesh will persist for the next three days. Previously, the IMD predicted that Mocha will make landfall along the eastern coast between May 7 and May 9. As a result, the isolated regions of the eastern coast may suffer moderate to severe rain for the next three days.

IMD reported in their bulletin that "Thunderstorm coupled with lighting and gusty winds with 30-4kmph speed is expected at isolated places over Rayalaseema" and "Thunderstorm coupled with lighting and gusty winds with 30-4kmph speed is expected at isolated places over North Coastal andhra pradesh, Yanam, and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh." There will be heatwaves in 11 mandals on monday and 15 mandals on Tuesday, according to the andhra pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA).

Some districts, including Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram, ASR, Anakapalli, Eluru, Ubhaya Godavari, NTR, Guntur, Krishna, Palnadu, Prakasam, Nellore, Tirupati, Nandyala, Chittoor, and portions of kadapa and Annamayya, will experience afternoon rain, according to other weather sources. The wind has become unstable in the Bay of Bengal, causing rain to begin falling in Andhra Pradesh.
