A fire accident happened in a software firm which belonged to actor Arvind Swamy in Alwarpet. The fire accident happened due to an electrical short circuit. Police came to the spot soon after the fire was put down.
As per witness, Smoke was first spotted on the second floor and it was a three storey building. The building named by 'Oxford' slowly got into fire and security guard informed Police about the fire and fire department immediately rushed to the spot. The whole fire was put in an hour.
N.Vijayakumar who is Divisional Fire Officer said, "Fire tenders from the Mylapore fire reached the spot at 3.30am. Soon after, fire tenders from Teynampet, Saidapet, Ashok Nagar and Bronto sky lift came in Fire was put out."
More than 100 computers were destroyed in this accident and the rescue team is assessing the loss of property. Based on the complaint of the firm's manager, police have registered a case and further investigations are on.
