Modi's BJP and Chandra Babu's TDP may be coalition partners both at the centre and in the state. However it seems both are bracing to fight supremacy battles. It is known that Andhra Pradesh is readying for municipal and corporation polls and this is leading to fight between TDP and BJP as BJP is planning to contest for mayor post in many places.
BJP leaders already became vocal in Guntur and Visakhapatnam and experts for long expressed their doubts on the continuation of the alliance. Analysts predict the adamant attitude of BJP will trigger war between TDP and BJP.
Former Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana announced that BJP will content Guntur Corporation elections. BJP leaders also expressed interest to contest Vizag Corporation elections. TDP wants to have hold on these two important cities.
Ganta Srinivas Rao announced that BJP plans to contest but made clear TDP will contest all municipalities and corporation. BJP is however intent on contesting Vizag as it earlier crushed Jagan Mohan Reddy's mother Vijayamma in the general elections.
