Konda Murali, congress parties MLC was disqualified from the A.P legislative council, for indulging in anti-party activities. Legislative council’s chairman Chakrapani issued an order to this extent. It is already known to many that, Murali’s wife, konda Surekha was disqualified from the A.P legislative assembly on the same grounds. Of late, Konda Surekha, contested from the Parakal assembly constituency, on behalf of the YSR congress party and lost by a thin margin to the TRS candidate. Though technically, Murali is a congress MLC till of date, he in fact is being considered as a part of the YSR congress party, by the people at large.  Though the congress party stands to lose little with the expulsion of Murali, it seems that the party is slowly bleeding to death, with one blow after another. It has expelled about 17 members, in the past, on the ground that they had not obeyed the party’s guidelines during the no-confidence motion. And, when the by elections were held for all these seats, that in fact belong to the congress party, it barely managed to secure 2 seats. And, YSR congress party ended up as the only gainer in those polls.  On the other end of the spectrum, even the main opposition party is having its own share of woes. It is being kept up on tenterhooks till of late by the TRS, on the issue of the separate state. And, then the YSR congress party gave the TDP leader many sleepless nights.  Come the year 2013, with only one more year left for the assembly elections, the problems of the ruling congress party may multiply. It could as well mean a troubled year for the main opposition party of the state i.e. TDP. Let us wait and watch...
