In the context of the increasing fresh cases of corona infection in the state of kerala, the new cases have started to spread in tamil Nadu by those who come to tamil Nadu by train from there. As a result, there is a demand to suspend trains from kerala to tamil Nadu temporarily until the cases decline in Kerala. In the neighboring state of kerala, the daily corona infection has been around 31,000 daily for the past week.

The rate of confirmation of infection is 19.68 percent of the number of people who are tested for corona there. A total of 2.13 lakh people are being treated for corona infection in kerala as of yesterday. Buses do not run directly from tamil Nadu to kerala due to the increase in the spread of the disease but trains continue to run to kerala via Coimbatore.

As a result, many people travel by train from palakkad to Coimbatore, Tiruppur, and Erode districts on the tamil Nadu-Kerala border daily for business and medical purposes. They have caused the spread of corona infection in tamil Nadu and they are the reason behind fresh cases in Coimbatore. Regarding this, the tamil Nadu government is now planning to stop Trains to kerala on a temporary basis until things return to normalcy.
