The supreme court has recommended that Sanjib Banerjee, the current Chief Justice of the chennai high court, be transferred to the meghalaya High Court.
Sanjeev Banerjee, the second senior judge of the kolkata high court, became the 50th judge of the chennai high court on january 4, 2020. The five-judge apex court panel has recommended that he be transferred to the meghalaya high court, where he will retire on november 1, 2023.
