On 23 January, PM narendra modi will unveil the statue of Netaji subhas chandra bose going to be inaugurated at india Gate. Ahead of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s 125th birth anniversary, a grand statue of the iconic independence fighter will be installed at india gate as a symbol of India’s “indebtedness" to him. Netaji's daughter Anita Bose living in germany has expressed happiness over this decision. She said that the decision taken by the government belatedly is honorable.
Netaji's daughter Anita Bose said on the controversy over the rejection of the tableau of West bengal that there should be no competition between political parties to claim the legacy of Netaji. She also said that before the elections last year, it was announced to form a committee, but to date, the committee has not been formed. I am glad that the statue is finally being revealed. It was like a surprise for me when it came to knowing that Netaji's statue is about to be inaugurated.
Anita Bose blamed the congress for not doing justice to her father's legacy, she said that to date justice has not been done properly with Netaji's legacy. She also stated that there were some people in the congress who tried to create a wrong image of him. She expressed openly on Netaji's controversies with Gandhiji. Anita said that my father was a rebel and gandhiji could not handle him.
