Modi arrives at the farewell of 72 MPs!!!


In the Rajya Sabha, 72 members were given farewells on Thursday. The tenure of these members, representing 19 states in the Upper House, is going to be completed between march and July. Retiring members include the names of veteran personalities like AK Antony, anand Sharma, ambika Soni, kapil sibal of Congress. There are also some Union ministers on this list.


Suresh Prabhu of Bharatiya Janata Party, Subramanian Swamy, Satish Chandra Mishra of Bahujan Samaj Party, sanjay raut of Shiv Sena, praful patel of nationalist congress party have also retired. There will be a shortage of these MPs in the Rajya Sabha.

The retiring members also include ministers like Center Nirmala Sitharaman, piyush Goyal, Mukhtar abbas Naqvi, and RCP Singh.

Prime minister Narendra Modi wished a better future for the members retiring from the Rajya Sabha. PM Modi urged that they should take their experiences in all four directions and inspire the future generations of the country by penning their contributions.

What did Chairman M venkaiah naidu say?

Chairman M venkaiah naidu appealed to all the MPs and MLAs across the country to perform better with passion and follow the rules and procedures honestly and said that they should avoid creating a disturbance in their respective Houses. He said that there is a very rare occasion when 72 members are retiring at the same time. He told that these 72 members represent 19 states. Of these, seven are nominated members.
