 India has witnessed good growth in AYUSH medicines production, cosmetics and. In 2014, the budget of the AYUSH sector was less than $ 3 billion, today it has increased to more than $ 18 billion. It is noteworthy that an unprecedented effort has been made in recent years to promote the export of AYUSH products.
Modi announced several new initiatives in the AYUSH industry, including a special AYUSH logo for AYUSH products. The government hopes that this will give people around the world confidence in quality AYUSH products. The government has drawn up a plan to develop a network of AYUSH parks to promote the promotion, research, and production of AYUSH products across India. It has also announced a new brand called 'Ayush Aahar' which is convenient for the manufacturers of herbal nutritional supplements.Prime minister Modi also announced the AYUSH Export Promotion Council and four AYUSH ICT initiatives including AYUSH Information Hub, AYUSHF, AYUSH NEXT, and AYUSH GIS. The announcements were made at the 2022 Global AYUSH Investment and Innovation Summit in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.Attending the event was the Director-General of the World health Organization, Dr. Tetros Adanom Caprais, who said that the AYUSH sector has been growing at a significant rate of 17 percent per year since 2014.
