Chintamaneni claimed that the jagan Mohan reddy government has been filing lawsuits against him and harassing him since taking office in 2019. He told the court that he had reported a threat to his life to Union home minister amit shah and governor Biswabhushan Harichandan. Since 2019, the jagan government has brought 25 cases against him in a two-year period. "Even when I participated in public issue agitations and tdp programs, the government brought charges against me as if I had committed serious crimes," he claimed.
He urged that the court take appropriate action against the government's senior executives, as well as police officers, for pursuing him personally in a vengeful manner. chintamaneni had been sentenced to prison in multiple cases, but he was released on bail after the high court intervened. Despite this, he claimed the government was witch-hunting him and told the court there had been a previous attempt to assassinate him in a phony encounter.
