If congress forwards Sharad Pawar's name, it will easily get support from parties like TMC, shiv sena, Samajwadi Party, Aam Aadmi Party, BJD, ysr congress, TRS, RJD and Left.




2. Ghulam Nabi Azad: Ghulam Nabi Azad, a veteran congress leader, can also be made a presidential candidate. The opposition can also unite on Ghulam Nabi. He has been the leader of the Opposition in the rajya sabha for a long time.


3. manmohan Singh: The name of former prime minister manmohan singh is also discussed among the leaders of the opposition. It is being said that the name of manmohan singh can also be proposed for the Presidential candidate from the congress side. manmohan singh is considered a very honest leader and is respected by all the parties involved in the opposition.



How many voters in the presidential election?

In the presidential election, members of the lok sabha, rajya sabha and state legislatures cast their votes. Out of the 245-member rajya sabha, only 233 MPs can vote, but the assembly is dissolved in Kashmir. Four rajya sabha seats are vacant here. In such a situation, only 229 rajya sabha MPs will be able to vote in the presidential election.



The 12 MPs nominated by the President also do not have the right to vote in this election. On the other hand, all 543 members of the lok sabha will take part in the voting.
