Statistics show that the Uttar Pradesh police has attached and demolished properties worth over Rs 3,190 crore under the provisions of the gangster Act since 2018. UP police officials say that even further action will continue against the top 20 criminals of each district.

According to the state government, proceedings under the criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) have been initiated against the miscreants who were declared absconders and who refused to surrender before the court. According to the latest police data, assets worth Rs 864 crore of gangsters have been confiscated in the first 100 days of the formation of the yogi government for the second time. Action will continue against the top-20 criminals.

Police and home Department officials said that action will continue against the top 20 criminals of each district. Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Awanish Awasthi said that during the first five years of the yogi government, there has been a lot of improvement in the law and order situation. He said that the yogi government has been successful in developing Uttar Pradesh as an ideal state by eliminating organized crime from the state.
