Six arrested in trs leader's murder..!
Telangana police on thursday arrested six accused in the murder case of trs leader Tammineni Krishnaiah in khammam district. It is reported that six of the eight accused in the case were arrested on the border of Khammam-Mahabubabad districts. The key accused, Tammineni Koteswara Rao krishna Jakkampudi, a relative of the victim, has not been arrested yet. Krishnaiah (62) was attacked and brutally murdered by four assailants while returning home from Teldarupalli village of khammam district on monday after attending Independence Day celebrations. The victim's family alleged that Koteswara Rao was responsible for the murder. He is the brother of CPI-M State Secretary T. Veerabhadram.
After Tammineni's murder, Krishnaiah's supporters attacked Koteswara Rao's house. As tension prevailed in the village, the police imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the criminal Procedure Code. police suspect that differences between the cousins regarding the 2019 Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC) elections in Teldarupally led to the murder. Tammineni Krishnaiah broke the seven-decade tradition of unanimously electing leaders for local bodies.

In this election, Krishnaiah's wife Mangathayar contested from trs and defeated the candidate supported by CPM. They could not digest the hoisting of the trs flag in this village which has been a stronghold of the CPM since time immemorial. They held a grudge for conducting the elections instead of unanimously.
Krishnaiah, who was earlier in CPM, later joined trs along with his wife and other family members. The leaders of the Communist party held a grudge saying that Krishnaiah was the reason for the damage to their supremacy.
